Tibet does not have a tradition of shadow puppets unlike most of Asia but by generating a show mimicking the use of puppet theatre to tell a story it can have direct contextual referencing to chinese propaganda in more direct fashion than would be applicable to most 2d animation.
it also bacame possible in painting the puppets to generate a comical yet interesting image
